spectacular 1920’s Vintage & rustic toronto Wedding
Shannon and Paul’s love story had a rough start, but a fairytale ending! They met just after both had exited some tough relationships, and were not looking for anything serious. Their first encounter was at Boston Pizza with a mutual friend. By the end of the evening, Paul did not want to leave and begged Shannon for a chance to see her again.
Shannon politely declined many times, until at last Paul looked her up on Facebook and asked to re-create their encounter at Boston Pizza. She finally accepted! Soon after Paul went to Shannon’s house twice everyday, to see her and get to know her better. One year later, they were talking about marriage, and to make it even better both of their kids got along magnificently as well.
Their vintage wedding started with a 1920’s engagement ring. Shannon mentioned she would be delighted to get a vintage ring, as nobody would have the same and she thought antiques were so beautiful. Soon after they started buying antiques for the house and finally one night Paul decided to pop the question.
Their wedding turned out magnificent and full of life, as she walked down the aisle with their four kids instead of having someone give her away. When it was time for the I do’s , they decided to switch it up and asked the kids permission to combine their families as one. They all happily accepted. Wisdom from the bride: “Enjoy every minute you can on the day of your wedding; use as many friends and family as possible to help with any last minute things. It’s your day and it goes by so fast, so sit back relax and take time to take it all in. Also do not stress over anything that isn’t as perfect as planned, your guests will never know if something was forgotten or in the wrong place. To them everything is perfect! (We had popcorn bags with our names on them put out with the candy table bags but forgot the popcorn machine. Oops!)
