With another season change right around the corner, we are reaching the busiest time of year for weddings – summer! We can’t wait for those glorious, sunny, hot days and beautiful, star-filled nights with buzzing fireflies.
With summer weddings also comes the selection of your beautiful blooms. Summer wedding floral bouquets come in so many varieties – from vibrant and lush colours, to pastels and wildflowers, and so much more. The options are really endless, so don’t limit yourself. Go big, and go lush.
Here are a few summer wedding floral trends:
♥ Peony Perfection
Soft, lush, romantic, the peony is the most requested wedding flower for the past couple of years. Since these beautiful blooms are only available for two months out of the year, you might need a backup. The garden rose is a nice alternative with the same delicate petal feeling.
♥ Glam Garlands
2013 brides are swooning for garlands – with paper or ribbon or even garlands hung from chandeliers. Try a long centre table and a garland of peonies and hydrangea running the full length of the table.
Expect to see these coming down aisles of vintage weddings everywhere this year! The look is meant to be long and slender, with lush full flowers like tea roses, peonies (no surprise!) or completely rustic with sweet tendrils of vine.
♥ The English Garden
Weddings with a vintage feel are a bride favorite this year. Brides are craving blooms that feel opulent yet still natural, like flowers fresh-picked from the garden of a great estate. Try a lush arrangement by using old brass vessels with hydrangea, garden roses and ranunculus.
♥ Herbal Touches
Give your bouquet an aromatic addition by substituting fragrant herbs for foliage.
♥ Floral Focal Point
Every arrangement doesn’t need to be a carbon copy of the others. Why not make things visually interesting by creating a unique focal point in one main area. Keep things consistent by incorporating at least one element that appears elsewhere.
