Hello! My name is Angel, the founder of Weddingful.com – this little site you are on right now.
This is the cozy “backstage” of our site, a blog inspired at yoga class on New Year’s day to write.
The resolution this year is to build a great site that makes wedding planning an easy, painless process, and I’d love to add new tools and features that make booking and shopping that much easier. Along the way, I hope I can help each one of our members with an amazing wedding you will never forget. Perhaps by sharing some experience and tips I’ve had, your day will be as perfect as it can be!
Everyday, I get 50+ emails from our members with great questions, asking how to find a certain type of photographer, tips on a photobooth etc! I’m really glad I can help. Some of these common questions will now be posted here so you can share the answer.
I hope you will enjoy this blog, I will strive to share insider tips, unbiased experience (at least my opinions anyway) on weddings, and helpful answers you might find useful.
Now let’s get started…
I will preface by saying I am not a writer, writing is likely bottom few on my strength’s list. (Probably didnt make it at all on that list) so please excuse grammar errors or run-on sentences. My self-awareness tells me that when I am spilling years of (bad and good) wedding experience, I’ll naturally type as fast as my fingers would possibly stay on, so – as long as you agreed with overlooking this flaw – please keep reading! (by strolling up) 🙂

For those who are interested, optionally, here’s a short story on how I started Weddingful.
I was a fashion designer growing up in Vancouver, Canada. Without much opportunity for haute couture, I started designing wedding gowns. Being the only English speaking seamstress in a dress-making basement, I was told to help customers at the store-front, and I started consulting brides on what type of dresses would really look good on them and what type of dress I can make for her. Ta da! A girl in the wedding industry was born.
Seeing how stressful most brides were and how tedious this whole planning process is, I set out to help these poor brides. They would come into the dress shop showing me task lists they have and seating chart they have yet to understand. I was determine to make this easier for them.
My first stab at it was Myweddingnotes.com, it was an online wedding planning app that allowed brides to have a free account, add bridesmaids, moms and guests so they can manage it easily. But then, I realize, hey, it isnt the planning that’s painful…
During Myweddingnotes.com, I also designed everything for weddings. Wedding Invitations, seating cards, Decor like drapery and centerpieces, and of course dresses. So some of my insider tips will come from a place of once being a “vendor”!
After being a vendor, selling and designing these services for weddings, I realize finding a perfect vendor, getting through all these consultations and getting it perfect for your big day is truly the painful and complex process.
And that brings us to the present. I hope Weddingful.com can help with your wedding planning!
