Old Hollywood Themed New Year’s Eve Vancouver Wedding

In Home, Love Stories

old hollywood themed New Year’s Eve Vancouver Wedding extravaganza

It was a warm summer night, as she was walking home from a night out, that Dee saw Ishita and was instantly captivated by her beauty. It was Ishita though, that decided to take the lead and start talking to him. She only did this after confirming with her friend that she thought Dee was cute too. What are friends for?

They could not stop chatting, exchanged phone numbers and then went their separate ways. In September 2010, they finally went on their first date and Ishita claims “Dee and I went on our first date and we’ve been inseparable from then on out”. The moment she knew that he was ‘the one’ was the first night she invited Dee to meet her parents – they loved him!

Her favorite moment of the wedding planning process was when she was trying on wedding dresses for the first time.  Seeing herself in a beautiful white gown made her very giddy and incredibly excited for her upcoming wedding.

After months and months of planning, the wedding finally became a reality and it was quite an extravaganza! They had a 2-day ceremony during which Ishita wore 5 beautiful dresses, guests feasted at the Pacific Rim and Westin Bayshore, and they danced the night away.  It was New Year eve after all!

Wisdom from the bride: “My husband And I felt it was all about the planning in advance that got us through and made the journey so special. We had time to enjoy ourselves and have fun along the way. Weddings are not meant to be stressful but be a time of excitement and celebration, whether it is the days or months leading up to it or the big day itself. I would recommend to always keep smiling, things will come together, and always remember why your there – because of the journey you’ve already taken, and the road that lies ahead”
