Networking Tips: Growing your network and showing it off

In Home

You are meeting all these great vendors at the weddings you are working this summer. How do you stay in touch and show off your connections? A pile of business cards won’t do any good until you actually call them. Here are a couple of pointers that you can use to take advantage of your growing network and look good for couples at the same time:

  • Start the buzz

Why wait until your next networking event to connect with other vendors in the area?

Check out profiles of vendors you have worked with before and those you have recently met and connect with them! You can add them to your “Favorites” list and/or send them a private message. Make sure the message is personal, it gives you a higher chance of hearing back from them. If you are just getting started and don’t know many people to connect with, find potential vendors you can collaborate with who share your style and standards and message them or add them as a Favorite. It’s a good first step!
Note: Remember to save Weddingful to your e-mail Safe List or add us as a contact so you get notifications when a message is sent to your profile, otherwise it may end up in your Spam or Promotions folder.

  • Reviews

You want people talking about you, so why not start by showing them how to do it?

Review other vendors by posting something that future brides and grooms will find useful. In return, you will get good reviews  from other vendors to ensure you don’t go unnoticed.
