How to get a business profile that Google Loves!

In Home
You spend 12 hours a day in your flower studio, baking over 100 cakes a year, shooting weddings every weekend especially during summer time.. it’s a ton of hard work and you want to keep it up all year round!
The key to getting bookings is reaching as many potential clients as possible.
To achieve this, you need to be where they are; Google! It’s probably your “go-to” search engine as well; looking for a restaurant? a dentist? a spa? We all turn to Google! So, are you making it easy for couples to find you there too?

Maximizing your Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a great way to keep your phone ringing non-stop. The following tips will help you rank higher on Google’s list when couples search for a vendor in your category

  • Google needs your help to know where you are and what you do. Add as many descriptive words as you can to your description, as well as your location, to boost your company’s ranking on Google.

Here’s an example of a good description that will show up on Google:

  • Make it clearer for Google (and couples) to see what your photos are about. It’s a chance to tell them more about your work! Add labels to all your photos by going to your Photo Gallery at the top of your Weddingful profile and clicking on “Add a description“. The image below might help you understand this better.

  • Another thing you can do to increase your SEO is adding a descriptive headline to your packages on Weddingful. Instead of having the title be “Package 1” it would be better to name it “Package 1: 8 Hour Wedding Photography” or “Ballroom Wedding Menu: Sample 1” rather than “Menu 1”
When you are writing a description, think about the words that you would use to search for a service. That should give you a good idea of what to put in your own profile. Make sure you have a good balance of your most relevant keywords.
In the following weeks we’ll share more tips to help you market your business more effectively and keep you fully booked!
