In Love Stories

Romantic & Intimate- DIY Vancouver wedding

Thomas and Jessica’s love story is truly a unique one!  They met on 2008, by random chance. Jessica decided she would catch up on some work on an early Saturday morning and to her great joy, she saw Thomas, who was working as a guard at her office building.

They met again the next  Saturday and Thomas could not wait to ask her on a date to Belcarra Park. And so the romance began.

Their love story was full of ups and downs, but as time progressed it became more and more evident to Jessica that Thomas was the man of her dreams. She loves that he is down to earth and willing to put up with her high maintenance.

Fast forward to November 2012.  One evening, when Jessica was getting ready to catch a flight to the Dominican Republic with her sister, as she entered her apartment she was greeted by a  magnificent surprise from Thomas. The hallway was lit by candles, the furniture was rearranged, and there was food and champagne on the table. She knew what was happening right away. They started eating and chatting, and toward the end Thomas finally popped the question. They savoured the moment a bit, and then Jessica had to rush to finish packing and catch her flight!

Wisdom from the bride: ” No matter how much planning I went through in the year, months, and even weeks leading up to the big day, there were still glitches and flaws during the wedding BUT it is those imperfections that make our wedding so perfect in every way. I think the most important thing for brides to keep in mind is to really keep calm and treasure every moment of the wedding planning stage and of course the actual wedding day!”
