Hello ladies and gents and welcome to our first Q&A. I was waiting for us to launch this idea and was so excited to get the first few questions. Any questions that have still not been answered will be in our next blog post. I have to say you girls made me work for it but I loved every second of it and I really hope that I helped you guys out.

Ok so my plan is to have a destination wedding but I’m not really sure if I want to have a reception since we are going to be having a after party as well. Is this something that I should have (reception)?

Your wedding is your wedding. A ceremony followed by a reception (complete with a full meal) is definitely the more traditional route, but an after party with perhaps some appetizers and cocktails is totally acceptable. Straying from tradition is becoming a more and more popular option. If you don’t want to have a reception with a sit down dinner it should be up to you. Just be sure to make it clear to your guests that it will be a ceremony and an after party (with no dinner option) so that they know to have a bite to eat before getting there.
