Hello ladies! When it comes to weddings everyone is always talking about how the most stressful time is planning, preparing, and organizing the whole wedding. However, I think the most stressful part comes the day of, when all your wishes and hopes for this perfect day are going to come true. But not to worry, use this blog as a little guide for yourself to help you get over the wedding jitters and focus on what’s really important… like realizing that the bridesmaids are missing flowers and the groomsmen are still trying to recover from last night’s bachelor party. Here are a few steps to take starting from the morning time until zero hour.

Step One

Make The List – A couple of days before or even the day before make sure to take some time and make yourself a list of last minute details that need to be touched up the day of the wedding. A big DON’T would be leaving big errands to the last day, like scheduling the limo or picking up the bridesmaid dresses. You want to make sure everything is done on time so when the day comes you can just focus on putting all the pieces together and finally saying yes to the love of your life.

Step Two

Wake Up! – The day has come! Make sure to wake up as early as possible so you have time to do all the little errands and fix any little mistakes that need to be fixed before the ceremony. After you shout, “I’m getting married today!!!!” (about 3 – 5 times) I think it’s time to focus your attention on the important details. Grab the list of things that you wrote a couple of days before and start with the biggest tasks first, like making sure that the makeup artists and hairdressers are on their way, the groomsmen and bridesmaids have their outfits, and the transportation is set and arriving on time.

Step Three

Preventing Disasters – You never know what kind of problem might come up, but you can be prepared. The most important thing to do in case of an emergency is to stay calm. Yes, the flower girl didn’t have to spill orange juice all over her dress and your fiancés best man didn’t have to get drunk 2 hours before the ceremony, but things happen! Take a couple of deep breaths and just relax. First grab some of your bridesmaids and find a replacement dress for the girl. She could be the first or last flower girl, this way she won’t kill the pattern. Second, send someone to the closest Starbucks and grab a Venti Dark, pure, no milk, no sugar, no additions coffee. Give it to the best man, wash his face a few times and he will be good to go (at least until the ceremony is over) .

Step Four

Don’t Forget About Him – No matter how hard we try for some reason our men just can’t help but get that jittery feeling in their tummy a few hours before. So, make sure you send your hubby a text or two just reminding him how much you love him and that you can’t wait to be Mrs.Hubby. This will help him remember that he’s not alone in this and it will help him relax and enjoy the ride.

 Step Five

Zero Hour – The time has come and you are on your way to spend the rest of your life with the man of your dreams. The checklist is done, the crises have been averted and everything is good to go! All you have to do now is clear your mind and get ready to say “I do”.
